Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 30-45g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Hb. Violae Zi Hua Di Ding 30g Clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and clears hot sores.
Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 15g Clears Heat in the Qi Stage, drains Fire, relieves irritability, quenches thirst, clears Excess Heat from the Lungs and heals eczema, burns and ulcerated sores and wounds.
With Sheng Di Huang, for excessive Fire with injured fluids.
Fol. Isatidis Da Qing Ye 18g Clears Heat, resolves Fire toxicity, cools the Blood and dissipates maculae.
With Jin Yin Hua, for Toxic Heat sores, erysipelas, mumps, or sore throat.
Cx. Mori Sang Bai Pi 18g Drains Heat from the Lungs.
With Huang Qin, drains Heat from the Lungs.
Flos Lonicerae Jin Yin Hua 18g Clears Heat, resolves Fire toxicity, vents and disperses External Wind-Heat and cools the Blood.
With Gan Cao, fo toxic swellings and sores.
With Huang Qin, for suppurating boils that have not ulcerated, or have ulcerated but are not discharging pus.
Fol. Eriobotryae Pi Pa Ye 15g Transforms Phlegm, clears Lung Heat and descends Lung Qi.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 15g Drains Fire, detoxifies, cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 15g Clears Heat, cools and invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, relieves pain and reduces swelling from sores and abscesses.
Flos Carthami Hong Hua 15g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, opens the channels and alleviates pain.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 9g Clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Jin Yin Hua, for damp rashes or acne.
